Your stays

Changing your dates, your party, or your place

Open the trip, choose Manage reservation, then Change reservation. You can move the dates, change how many guests are coming, and — when your host has more than one place currently listed — move to one of those instead, all three in one ask. If your host has no other place currently listed, there is no picker and no move to make.

The price arrives on its own

Pick your dates and the quote appears without a button: the nights, any length-of-stay discount, the cleaning and other fees, taxes, your old total, the new one, and the difference.

View availability calendar lives on the panel's first screen rather than inside the change form, so press Back to reach it. It shows the free nights at the place you are booked into now — it does not follow a move to another property, so it cannot tell you whether the place you want to move to is open.

Two directions, two different answers:

  • A longer or dearer stay — you pay the difference once the host confirms.
  • A shorter or cheaper stay — once the host accepts, whatever you have paid over the new total goes back to your card in full: no policy band, and no fees kept. Money you paid your host another way comes back from them.

It is a request, not a change

Sending posts your request into your message thread with the host. On your side it reads as a message you sent, carrying the new dates, the party size, where you are moving to, and the total you were quoted. On theirs it is a card with three buttons: accept it, edit it and apply their version instead, or decline.

Until they answer, your booking is exactly as it was and the new nights are not held for you.

If they accept, the stay is priced again against the calendar at that moment — your quote was the context, the calendar is the authority — and if the number moved, the confirmation message says so in as many words. Declining leaves the reservation as booked and says so in the thread.

Changed your mind? Send another. The newer ask is the one the host can act on, and the older one stays in the thread marked Replaced by a newer request. Take back withdraws the open one. A request nobody answers runs out after 48 hours.

How you hear back

The answer lands in the thread, by email and as a notification in the Kabora app, unless you have turned those off under Account settings → Notifications or muted the conversation.

Bookings made on Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com are changed on the site they were made on.
