Deleting your account, and what survives it

On your account page, open Sign-in & security. The last row is *Delete account*. Press it and Kabora asks you to confirm; there is no undo. If you host, it is in the same place on your dashboard: Settings → Security → Sign in, at the bottom of *Ways to sign in*.

Only you can press this button. A business you belong to can remove your membership; it can never delete your login.

Two things that block it

• You own a business. Transfer ownership to someone else first, so it is not left with nobody at the top.
• You are Kabora staff. Another staff admin removes you first.

You find this out afterwards, not before. Nothing on the row warns you. You press it, confirm the deletion, and the page comes back at the same row with an amber note saying which of the two is in the way. Nothing was deleted — the check runs before anything is touched.

What goes

Everything attached straight to your login: your profile, your sign-ins on every device, your saved lists, your passkeys, the browsers your account trusted, any copy of your data you had asked for, your social-login links, and your membership of every business.

What stays, and why

Each host you booked with keeps their record of the stay — the dates, the money, their notes about the stay, and whether you were ID-checked or blocked. Your name, email, phone and photo come off it, and so do their notes about you; it reads *Deleted account*. A host has legal and tax reasons to keep a record of a stay that actually happened.

Your message threads stay too. They hang off that same host record rather than off your login, so the host's inbox keeps the whole conversation: every message and its reactions stay, but your name comes off them. Your own private notes on a thread are not deleted either — those have never been visible to the host, and that does not change.

Reviews you wrote stay on the listings they were about, without your name. Deleting your account does not take them down.

Every business you belonged to also gets a line in its activity log saying you deleted your account, carrying your email address. Its owners and admins see it under Settings → Team → Activity, and the line is kept.

On the phone

The Kabora app deletes accounts too — the last row of Sign-in & security, with the same confirmation. There, anything in the way is shown before the button. Either way, a last email confirms the account is gone and lists what stays.
