Messaging your host
Reporting a message, a conversation, or a listing
A whole conversation
Open the thread, press the three-dot button at the top of it, and choose Report this conversation (in the Kabora app it is under Conversation actions). Write what is wrong — the box will not send empty — and press Send report. You have up to 2,000 characters.
Your host is not told. The thread keeps working exactly as before. If you would rather not see it, archive it from the same menu, or mute it, which stops the email you would otherwise get when the host writes again.
One message
Hold the message down in the Kabora app, or open its ⋯ menu on the website, and choose Report this message. It asks for words too, will not send without them, and takes up to 2,000 characters.
There is no time limit and no rule about whose message it was — you can report something your host sent last month.
The report is filed against that exact message, so it survives the message being edited or unsent afterwards. Say what the message said anyway. The report box tells you the message is sent along and you need not quote it; the queue staff actually read shows your words and not the message, so a report that says "the rude one" leaves them with nothing.
A listing, on the website
Report this listing is on every listing page, about halfway down — after the Safety section on listings that have one, and above the cancellation policy, the check-in calendar and the reviews. It is not at the bottom, so do not scroll to the end looking for it.
It asks for a reason — a camera inside the place, not what the photos showed, unsafe or unclean, a scam or a request to pay outside Kabora, offensive content, or something else. The first one is picked for you, so change it before you send. Detail is optional.
You have to be signed in to send it. If you are not, Kabora asks you to sign in and keeps everything you typed.
Cameras inside a home are banned, and a guest saying so is the only way anyone finds out.
In the Kabora app, Report this listing is the last thing on the listing.
What happens next
Every report — message, conversation or listing — lands in one queue that Kabora staff read and mark handled. Nothing comes back to you: no email, no status, no outcome.
If your situation changes or gets worse, report again — with one exception. A second report on the same listing within an hour of your first is treated as already heard: you get the same thank-you, but nothing new is filed and what you wrote that time is not kept. Wait the hour, or report the conversation or the message, which file every time.
In the Kabora app you can also block a host from their profile, which hides your profiles from each other.
Kabora can take a listing down. Kabora cannot reach you. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number first.
