Saving Places and Using Wishlists

Saving a Place

The heart appears on every place card on the marketplace and at the top of every listing page. Press it, and it fills immediately. Press it again to remove the save.

If you are not signed in, the heart opens the sign-in box on the page you are reading, not at the top of the marketplace. It remembers which place you meant, so the save is usually waiting when you return. Finish signing in from that box, then check the heart. If it is empty, press it again.

If you close the box instead, with Escape, the ✕ or a click outside it, the save is deliberately dropped, and the heart stays empty.

Where Your Saves Appear

• Saved places: Every save appears in Wishlists under Saved places, whether or not you filed it in a list. Filing a place does not remove it from that grid.
• Lists: Above the grid, as tiles of photographs, each with a count.
• Unfiled saves: No separate group; they share the same grid.

Organizing Places Into Lists

• On a laptop: Drag a place from Saved places onto a tile.
• In a phone's browser: Tap the tile, open Add or remove places, and tick the places that belong in it. The row of places inside an open list can only remove places ("Remove from list"), so ticking is how you add them.
• One list per place: A place belongs to one list at a time. Filing it in a second list moves it out of the first.
• New lists: Dragging onto New list creates the list and files the place in one step. Pressing New list instead lets you type a name.
• Automatic names: A list made by dropping takes its name from the place's city, or the place's own name when it has no city. A number is added if you already have a list with that name. Open the tile to rename it.
• Empty lists: A list stops existing when its last place leaves it: moved to another list, unticked, or removed with "Remove from list".
• Unsaving with the heart: Removing a save with the heart does not remove the list, which stays behind, empty. Remove it with the ✕ in the tile's top corner, shown on hover, with no confirmation step. Its places stay saved, but unfiled.

Sharing a List

A new list has no share link. Open it and press Share this list to create one. Then copy the link from the share icon in the tile's corner, or from the line inside the list.

Anyone with the link can open the list without signing in. They see the places, their photos, prices and ratings, and nothing else: not your name, your other lists or your trips. The page is excluded from search engines.

• Reset the link: Creates a new link and stops every copy already sent from working.
• Stop sharing: Turns the link off, so the list has none.

You cannot remove one person's access while keeping everyone else's.

Planning a List With Someone

A share link lets people view a list. To let someone add to it, open the list and turn on Plan together, then send that link instead. It differs from the share link, so sending one never reveals the other.

When they sign in and open it, they press Join this list. The list then appears among their own, marked Shared by and your name. They can file places into it and remove places. Only you can rename, delete or share it. Planning with shows who has joined, and Take off removes someone.

No one loses a save. A place removed from the list returns to that person's own saves, and the places someone added return to them when they leave or are taken off. Turning Plan together off stops anyone new from joining; people already in remain until you take them off.

Wishlists in the Kabora App

The app's Wishlist tab holds the same saves and lists. Saving asks which list to use, and you can drag a place onto a list. A list offers Share this list, Send the link, Reset the link and Stop sharing, as on the website.

When a Host Removes a Place

A removed place stays under Saved places, grayed out and marked "No longer listed. The host removed this listing.". It keeps its name, location and photo, but has no price and no link, because a price you cannot pay and a link that leads nowhere would mislead you. It keeps its heart, so you can remove it when you choose.

It leaves the list you filed it in, but the tile's count still includes it. A tile can therefore show four and open on three. Someone opening your shared link still sees it, marked "No longer listed", and it does not open for them either.
