Calendar Links for Other Booking Sites

Where Calendar Links Are Listed

Settings → Listings → iCalendar lists every calendar link in the business: each listing, each site it is also on, and when each link last synced. In the Kabora app, it is Menu → Settings → Listings → iCalendar, a screen titled Calendar links.

Adding a Calendar Link

On a listing's Overview, under Where else it is listed, press Add external iCal and paste the iCal address the other site provides. Then copy Kabora's address from Export calendar into that site.

In the app, open the listing's own month on the Calendar and press its settings button, or use Availability → Connect calendars.

How Often Links Are Read

A booking on the other site closes the nights here at the next read. Kabora reads the link every 4 hours unless you change it under Sync settings. A booking here closes them there on that site's own schedule.

Within Kabora, the database itself refuses two bookings for one night. Between sites, a night is protected once each site has read the other's link.

What a Link Carries

A link carries dates, and the title the other site gives them. No site sends the guest's name, the price, the messages or the extras over iCal. Kabora records no booking from a link, and the nights appear as closed, so that stay is priced, messaged and reviewed on the site where it was booked.

When a Link Stops Responding

A link silent for some time is flagged on the iCalendar page, on the bell and to Kabora staff. Copy its address again from the other site, because sites change them.

When a Link Sends Unusable Events

After every read, the link's line states what it could not use. For example: Synced Sep 28 · 1 event could not be used, including an event whose dates the calendar could not read. Those nights remain on sale here, so check the listing on the other site.
