Calendar links: keeping your other calendars in step

Settings → Listings → iCalendar lists every calendar link in the business — each listing, each site it is also on, when each last synced. In the Kabora app it is Menu → Calendar links.

Adding one

On a listing's Overview, under Where else it's listed, press Add external iCal: paste the iCal address the other site gives you, and copy Kabora's address from Export calendar back into that site. In the app, the listing's Settings → Connect calendars does the same. From then on a booking there closes the nights here at the next read — every 4 hours unless you change it under Sync settings — and a booking here closes them there on that site's schedule.

Inside Kabora, two bookings for one night are refused by the database itself; between sites, a night is safe once each has read the other's link.

What a link carries

Dates, and the title the other site gives them. Not the guest's name, the price, the messages or the extras — no site sends those over iCal. Kabora records no booking from a link — the nights show as closed — so that stay is priced, messaged and reviewed on the site it was booked on.

When a link goes stale

A link that has not answered for a while is flagged on the iCalendar page and on the bell; the console sees it too. Open the listing on the other site and copy the address again — sites rotate them.
