Closing Your Business
Where It Is
Close this business is at the foot of Business details: under Settings on the website, and under Menu in the Kabora app. Only an Admin who looks after every listing can close the business, because closing it ends every listing and every teammate's seat.
What Must Be Finished First
Kabora refuses to close a business while something is still open, and says what to finish and where:
- Stays: A stay that has not ended yet. Let it finish, or cancel it from Reservations.
- Money on its way: A guest's payment or a refund still being processed. Wait until it has gone through.
- Disputes: A guest's bank has a dispute open on a payment. Answer it first.
- Security deposits: A deposit still held on a guest's card. Release it, or claim from it, first.
- Money requests: A request for money between you and a guest that is still open.
- Your crew and your owners: A teammate still owed for a finished job, or an owner still owed money.
Closing It
The dialog lists what stops and what is kept. Type the business's name exactly as it is written, press Close the business, and confirm it is you.
What stops:
- Every listing comes down, and no guest can find or book it.
- Your booking site goes offline, and your calendar links stop.
- Everybody else on your team loses access, and is told by email.
- Scheduled messages, statements and reports stop, and API keys and invitations stop working.
What is kept: every stay, payment, refund, payout and statement, which have to be kept, and your reviews, which other guests rely on.
Your Stripe account is your own and stays open. Close it at Stripe if you no longer need it.
Afterward
Closing cannot be undone. The business's details can be read and not changed, and none of its places can be listed again. To trade on Kabora again, you would start a new business. Once it is closed, you can delete your own account under Sign-in & security.
