Using Kabora on your phone

Two ways. The Kabora app for iPhone — in TestFlight, not yet on the App Store — runs your hosting from Home, Calendar, Listings, Messages and Menu, with push notifications. And kabora.app itself works in any phone browser, with the same sign-in and the same data, laid out for a smaller screen; the rest of this page is about that. If you want it one tap away, your browser's "Add to Home Screen" works like any other bookmark.

Built for a phone

• Calendar. A phone gets its own calendar layout rather than a shrunken grid. Tap a night to open it; tap a booking to open the reservation.
• Reservations. The list becomes cards instead of a table. Each card leads with the property photo, then the guest, the dates and who is coming, and what you net. Tap anywhere on a card to open the reservation.
• Messages. The inbox and each conversation are built for a narrow screen, so replying from a phone is the same few taps it is anywhere else.
• Booking requests. The Booking requests panel and its Approve buttons work on a phone, so a request does not have to sit until you are back at a desk.
• Notifications. The bell's list becomes cards rather than columns. Each card shows what happened, the reservation code, and the time; Accept and Decline are full-size buttons on the requests that have them, and ✕ clears a card. Answering a request from your phone does the same real work it does on a laptop.

Still better on a laptop

Some screens are genuinely wide — owner statements, the audit trail, scheduled sends, sign-in history, API keys. On a phone these keep their full width and scroll sideways inside their own card rather than being squeezed into columns of ellipsis. They are readable, but if you are reconciling a statement you will want a bigger screen.

Bulk editing on the multicalendar — dragging across a range of nights — also assumes a pointer. Use the per-night editor on a phone instead.

Adding a calendar link works properly on a phone: the nickname and the Shows as menu stack instead of squeezing, and the menu's options carry their logos at full size.

Adding several properties in one paste works on a phone — the screen lays out properly and the cards stack — but the job itself does not: you are copying from a browser tab per listing, which is a laptop evening. Connecting Hospitable under Settings → Import is fine from a phone, and so is reading what it brings across.

What Kabora does not do on a phone

Being straight about this so you do not go looking:

• The website itself sends no push. It emails, and the bell holds the rest. The Kabora app pushes what you choose in its Menu → Notifications.
• The website needs a connection for everything. If you lose signal mid-edit, the change is not saved. The app keeps a message written without signal and sends it when signal returns; the rest needs a connection there too.
• The app is not on the App Store yet. The Kabora app for iPhone is built and in TestFlight; the store badges in the footer say *Coming soon* until it is through review. There is no Android app yet.
