Adding Your First Listing

The Three Steps

Go to Listings and select Add a listing. Kabora asks one question per screen, in three steps, the same on the web and in the Kabora app:

1. Describe your place. Enter the address and the kind of place. State whether guests have the whole place or a room, and drag the map until the pin sits on the house. Then enter the number of guests, bedrooms, beds and bathrooms.
2. Make your place stand out. Add the amenities and at least five photos, from your computer on the web or from your phone in the app. Add a title and a description, which starts from the two highlights you select.
3. Finish up and publish. Choose how guests book, the nightly price, any weekend adjustment and any discounts. State whether there are cameras outside.

Create listing refuses a pin more than 250 meters from the address, so drag the pin onto the house itself.

Saving Your Progress

Kabora keeps every answer as you go, on the computer or phone you are using, so Save & exit is safe. When you return, the flow opens on the screen you left.

Create listing makes the listing and puts it live when it can. Otherwise it states what is missing, usually payouts or a profile photo, and the listing waits as a draft with every other answer kept.

A Listing That Exists Elsewhere

On the first screen, open Listed somewhere already? Paste the listing. Paste the listing's text from the other site and select Fill in what it says. Kabora fills in what it can read, and you check each answer on its own screen. See importing a listing from another site.

Adding Several Listings

• Listings → Add multiple listings: Paste all your listings at once and receive a listing for each. See the help article on adding several listings in one paste.
• Settings → Import: If you use Hospitable, connect it, and your listings arrive as drafts without any pasting. See importing a portfolio from Hospitable.

What Matters Most

• Photos: Photos sell the stay. The first photo is the cover everywhere in the app. Reorder and add more on the listing's Photos page.
• Names: Guests see the public name. The internal name is a nickname such as "Unit 4B", seen only by you and your team.
• Defaults: New listings start from your defaults under Settings → Defaults: check-in and checkout times, how guests get in, minimum nights and house rules.

Requirements Before a Listing Goes Live

If Kabora asks you to verify your identity, you can still set up the whole listing first. The first screen offers a Verify your identity button, which opens the two-minute check in a new tab. Your answers are kept, and the listing waits as a draft. Once you are verified, the listing can go live or be booked by its link.

A place can be listed on Kabora only once Stripe has enabled both card payments and payouts for your business. Guests pay you directly through Stripe, so connect it first under Settings → Payments and payouts. See setting up payments.

The listing's status menu names each missing item, such as a nightly rate, enough photos, the location or a profile photo. It links to where you fix them, one item at a time.

Places already listed remain listed. The exception is a business that never finished setting up payments: its places take no bookings and stay off search until it does.
