The Four Counts

A reservation records four numbers; each "how many guests" question needs a different set.

• Adults and children: They pay, and they fill beds.
• Infants: They do neither; every booking site agrees that charging for a baby is an error.
• Pets: Counted separately, so a pet limit can be checked against a number.
• Assistance animals: They are not pets and are not counted as pets.

Assistance Animals

Assistance animals are always welcome on every listing, even one that takes no pets, and never pay a pet fee. This is Kabora's policy, not a host's setting.

Per-Person Fees and Occupancy

Per-person fees multiply by adults and children only, so a family of two adults and a baby is charged for two. Fees can be per person per night, so an error here would make every night wrong.

Occupancy is counted the same way: a cot is not a bed, so an infant takes no sleeping capacity either. The two are tracked separately so one could change without the other.

Where the Counts Are Entered

The Kabora app, the search bar and a listing's booking box on the website ask for adults, children, infants and pets separately. The booking box a host places on their own website asks for one number, Guests, and counts everyone in it.
