Bring your own domain to your booking site

Your booking site can live on a Kabora address, like yourname.kabora.app, or on a domain you already own, like yourbrand.com or stay.yourbrand.com. A Kabora address works the moment you save it. Your own domain needs one step at the company you bought it from.

1. Save the address

Open Direct bookings → Website, choose the site, and type your domain in Its address. Save. Kabora tells its web host about the domain straight away and shows you the records to add.

2. Add the records where you bought the domain

Sign in where you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Cloudflare and the like), open its DNS settings, and add what the Website page shows:

• A bare domain (yourbrand.com) takes two records: an A record named @ pointing to 76.76.21.21, and a CNAME record named www pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com. Guests who type www.yourbrand.com are sent to yourbrand.com.
• A subdomain (stay.yourbrand.com) takes one: a CNAME record named after its first part (stay) pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com.

Remove any older A or CNAME record with the same name, or the two will fight over where the address goes.

3. Check it has connected

Back on the Website page, press Check it now. Records usually take effect within an hour, and occasionally take up to a day or two. Until then the page says it is waiting for them, and it keeps looking on its own. Once they are in, the site is live on your domain with the secure padlock, and guests can sign in and book there.

If it will not connect

• Another account already has this domain: the domain is connected to a different website somewhere. Remove it there first.
• Still waiting after a day: check the record names and values letter by letter against the Website page. A record named @ is often shown as your bare domain by the registrar, which is the same thing.

A Kabora address needs none of this, and it is what the booking box on your listings uses.
