Reservations
Changing a reservation, extending a stay, and cancelling as a host

Changing dates, guests or place
Change reservation proposes the new dates, party or unit. When the guest has a Kabora account, it is sent to them to accept — a change to what a guest is paying is never made over their head. The proposal is a card in the conversation on every face, with the difference while it waits and the answer once it comes; the nights are not held while they decide. A stay you typed in yourself changes as soon as you confirm. When it makes the stay cheaper, the guest gets back exactly the difference; when dearer, the guest owes the difference — added to the parts still to come on a stay paid in parts, otherwise a balance they pay from their trip page.
Extending
A guest asks to extend from their trip page; you accept or decline from the card. A stay booked on another site is extended there.
Cancelling
Cancel reservation tells you, before you confirm, that the guest gets back everything they paid — no policy applies when you cancel — and that the nights stay closed on your calendar. Kabora's fees are not returned, so you absorb them. The guest is told the same figure in the cancellation message and by email. A refund of a card payment goes back to the card through Stripe. A stay the guest paid you for outside Kabora shows the refund as owed until you record that you gave it — Record the refund you gave on the stay — and the guest's page says the same until then.
A host cancellation counts: the guest is told it was you, and the console sees the rate. Cancel a stay somebody paid for only when you must.
