Extras, change requests and money, as cards in the conversation

Whatever changes a stay is a card in its conversation, on the web and the phone, for the host and the guest alike.

  • An extra — a guest asks for one from the picker on their trip page (early check-in, a late checkout, a breakfast basket: whatever you offer under Automation → Extras); you offer one from the stay. Accepted, it is added to the booking's total, and the guest pays it like any balance.
  • A change request — dates, party or place, from either side; the card carries the difference while it waits and the answer once it comes.
  • Money — a guest sends you money (a broken glass, a late fee you agreed) or asks for some back; you ask or send from Manage reservation → Send or request moneyAsk your guest, or Send money to your guest. Money sent to you carries the direct rate; a refund never carries a fee.
  • A cancellation — the card says what came back and what was kept.

Everybody in the conversation sees every card; only the person whose answer it is can press. On your side, Accept and Decline on a change or an extra appear only for teammates allowed to take, change and cancel bookings; the others see it waiting for an answer. A card is never edited after the fact — a second request is a second card — so the conversation is the record.
