House rules, safety and cameras

Rules

The switches — children, infants, pets, smoking, events — with quiet hours and a minimum age are what a guest reads as house rules on the listing page; the number of pets you take is what search filters on. The paragraph under them is for the rest: the things a switch cannot say. Keep it in step with the switches: if pets are off, "small dogs welcome" in the text contradicts them, and a guest reads both and believes the friendlier one. Kabora does not stop you saving it.

A guest agrees to the rules as they were on the day they booked. Changing them afterwards changes them for the next booking, not the ones already made.

Guest safety

Tick the alarms, the extinguisher and the first-aid kit under Amenities. Then, under Guest safety, say where each one is, the dangers worth knowing (a pool with no gate, heights without rails) and what to expect (stairs, noise). A guest reads it under Safety on the listing before they book.

Cameras

Kabora's rule is short: cameras are allowed outdoors only, and every one of them is declared. You answer it on the last step of Add a listing; after that it is changed in the Kabora app (a listing → Guest safety → Security cameras) — the website's editor has no camera field yet — and there is nowhere to declare an indoor camera, on purpose. A guest reads the declaration — what is there, or that there is none — before they book, and can report a listing whose cameras do not match it. A report is read by a person at Kabora, and "There's a camera inside" is the first reason on the form.
