Reply, Edit, Unsend, and React

On the website, hover over a message for two buttons: a menu (⋯) and an emoji. In the Kabora app, press and hold the message.

The menu holds:

• For every message: Reply, Copy, Star message, Pin to the top, Keep as a saved message and Seen by.
• For your own recent messages: Edit and Unsend.
• For somebody else's messages: Report this message.
• For a host who can run every task: Make it a job, on a guest's message, which turns it into a maintenance job.

Copy places the message text on your clipboard, exactly as written.

Reply

Reply quotes the message you chose. A card with the writer's name and the message's first lines pins above the composer, and the sent message carries a compact quote of the original. Clicking that quote moves the thread to the original. If the original is later unsent, the quote turns gray and reads "Message unsent" instead.

Edit and Unsend

Edit your own messages for 15 minutes after sending, and unsend them for 24 hours. Once editing has closed, the menu states "Editing expired 15 minutes after." rather than removing the row. An edited message displays an "Edited" label from then on.

Unsending blanks the message permanently, leaving a visible "unsent a message" line so the other side never wonders about a gap. Unsend requires two taps, because it cannot be undone.

Nobody can edit or unsend the messages Kabora sent for you, such as confirmations, cancellation notices and scheduled sends, because they are the record.

Reactions

The emoji button offers a quick set (❤️ 👍 🔥 😂 😮 😢 🙏 🎉), the same eight on the website and in the Kabora app. Each person has one reaction per message. Picking a different emoji replaces yours, and tapping the same one removes it. Reactions appear on both sides, with the reactor's name on hover.
