Who can see a conversation

The thread header shows the people, not just a name: stacked faces and "— and 2 others". Click it for "In this conversation" — the full honest list of everyone with access.

How access is computed

On the host side, a conversation is visible to team members whose role can message guests — the owner, managers, co-hosts, and custom roles granted the inbox — narrowed further when a member's access is limited to specific properties. The popup is computed from those rules every time; it never just asserts.

On the traveler side, it belongs to the booker and anyone who has joined the trip: a companion who accepted can read the thread and write in it — see "Trip companions".

Read receipts

Under your messages, "Seen by" names who has opened the thread since. A host sees which teammate read, and when the guest did; the guest sees their host's name, not the teammates behind it. Both people need read receipts on — the switch is under Account settings → Privacy and sharing.

Mute

Anyone can mute a conversation from its ⋯ menu, and the mute is yours alone. Messages keep arriving in the thread; that conversation's emails and phone notifications to you stop. Unmute any time from the same menu.
