Nightly Rates, Weekend Rates, Fees, and Security Deposits

Setting Prices

Everything a guest pays for a stay starts under a listing → Pricing.

• Nightly rate: The base rate. A weekend adjustment, a percentage up or down from it, prices Friday and Saturday nights, so it follows the base rate.
• Listing markup: The percentage added to your nightly rate when a guest books on Kabora. Left blank, the listing uses your default from Settings → Defaults → Pricing. Guests on your own booking site have their own markup, under Direct bookings → Markups. Neither affects the other.
• Extra guests: Under Occupancy based, a charge for each guest above the number included.
• Fees: Cleaning, with an optional separate fee for stays of one or two nights, linens and pets. Each fee is its own line in the guest's price.
• Taxes: Every booking keeps the tax rate it was charged under, so a later change does not reprice it. See the help article on lodging tax.
• Security deposits: Kabora can hold the deposit on the guest's card, or charge it and return it. Or collect it yourself and record it on the stay, where the guest sees it.

Dates and Seasons

On the calendar, select nights and set a price, or use a rule-set. Weekend and seasonal prices appear in the guest's breakdown on the nights they fall on, not as a surcharge.

What the Guest Sees

The listing page shows the price from the lowest nightly rate on the dates in view. The checkout breakdown lists the nights, each fee and the taxes, then the total. Kabora's share is never added to the price; it comes out of your side.

Under the total, the guest is told which fees are not refunded if they cancel. Once booked, the guest's trip displays Where your money goes, how the total is divided, including Kabora's share. See the help article on how you are paid.
