Photos, videos, and translation in messages

Both sides can send photos and videos from the composer's menu — "Add a photo or video" opens a picker with a preview and an optional caption, and the media lands as part of the thread. Accepted: JPEG, PNG, WebP or an iPhone's HEIC photos, up to 25 MB; MP4, WebM or MOV video, up to 80 MB.

Translation

When translation is available, a traveler gets a "Translate to ‹language›" link under each message from the other side, and a host gets one Translate button at the top of the thread that turns every guest message into their language. The language is the first one listed on your profile. The original text is never altered; translation is a reading aid, not a rewrite.
