Trip companions

The booker can invite up to five companions from the reservation sheet's "Invite a companion". Each gets an email with a link showing the stay — property, dates, host — and an Accept button. Each companion row has two boxes: Send alert and Add to receipt.

A host can add people to a booking too — Add someone to this booking, on the stay's People on this booking. Nothing is sent to them, and they count toward the same five.

What joining shares

A joined companion sees the trip on their own Kabora account and can open the trip portal — check-in details, directions, house information. They appear in the "Who's coming" card on both sides.

They can also read and write in the conversation with the host, and they are named in the thread's "In this conversation" list, which is how you can see at a glance who that is. Invite someone and they will be able to read what has already been said, so treat it the way you would adding somebody to a group chat.

What joining does not share is control of the booking. Only the booker can cancel it, change the dates, ask for extras, arrange a check-in time, or invite anybody else. In the Kabora app a companion can also Leave the trip.

Invites can be revoked by the booker any time before or after they're accepted, from the same place they were sent.
