Trip Companions

Inviting Companions

The booker can invite up to five companions from the reservation sheet's "Invite a companion". Each receives an email with a link showing the stay (listing, dates and host) and an Accept button. Each companion row has two boxes: Send alert and Add to receipt.

A host can also add people with Add someone to this booking, on the stay's People on this booking. Nothing is sent to them, and they count toward the same five.

What Joining Shares

A joined companion sees the trip on their own Kabora account and can open the trip portal: check-in details, directions and house information. They appear in the "Who is coming" card on both sides.

They can also read and write in the conversation with the host, including what was said before they joined, and are named in its "In this conversation" list. Treat an invitation as you would adding somebody to a group chat.

What Stays With the Booker

Joining does not share control of the booking. Only the booker can cancel, change the dates, ask for extras, arrange a check-in time, or invite anybody else.

Leaving and Revoking

A companion can Leave the trip: on the website from Your group, under the faces at the top of the conversation, and in the Kabora app from the trip's people.

The booker can revoke an invitation at any time, before or after it is accepted, from where it was sent.
