Getting paid through Kabora as a teammate or an owner

A business can pay you through Kabora only after you have set up payouts yourself, signed in to Kabora as yourself. Nobody can do it for you, the business included: Stripe asks about you and your bank, and those answers are yours to give.

If you work for a business

A business that added you to its crew can pay you for finished jobs.

  • On the website: open the account menu and choose Your pay. Each business you work for has its own card. Under Get paid through Kabora, press Set up payouts.
  • In the Kabora app: Profile → Your jobs → Your pay → Set up payouts.

Stripe's form opens inside Kabora, under the title Your payouts. If you stop partway, the button reads Finish setting up and continues where you stopped. The card opens with where things stand: Not set up yet, Setup is in progress, Stripe is checking your details, or You are set up. While Stripe is checking, nothing more is needed from you and there is no button; the card changes on its own when Stripe has finished. When Stripe has what it needs, it says you are set up and that the business can pay you through Kabora, straight to your bank, and the button is gone.

You receive the full price of each job. The business pays the card processing and Kabora's 2% on top.

If you have no Kabora login yet, the business invites you from its Teammates list, by email. The link in that email makes your account.

If you own a place somebody manages

A manager who is paid in US dollars can pay what you are owed by bank debit, into a Stripe account of your own.

  • On the website: your owner portal → Payouts. Under Get paid through Kabora, press Set up payouts.
  • In the Kabora app: Profile → Owner's Portal → Payouts → Set up payouts.

If you started earlier, the button reads Finish setting up. If you have answered everything and Stripe is still reviewing it, the card says that Stripe is checking your details and that nothing more is needed from you, and there is no button. Once Stripe has what it needs, the card says that you are set up and that your manager can pay you through Kabora.

An owner whose manager is paid in another currency is not offered this card. Your manager still pays you their usual way and records it, and the portal shows each payment.

What Stripe asks

Stripe is the company that moves the money, and the account it makes is yours. Its form asks who you are and where to pay you: your legal name, your date of birth, your address and your bank account. It may ask for more where the law requires it. These answers go to Stripe directly. Kabora never sees your bank details or your documents.

At its first step Stripe opens a small window of its own to sign you in to Stripe. That window is Stripe's, not Kabora's, and it closes when you are done. You are then back on the form inside Kabora.

If the form cannot open inside Kabora, Stripe's own page opens in its place and does the same thing. When you come back, the card says where your setup stands.
