Adding a Booking Box to Your Website

Keep the website you have and take bookings through Kabora: paste a few lines onto the page about a place, and a live booking box appears on it. Your guest selects dates, sees the real price for those nights, and continues to finish the booking.

Getting the Code

Go to Direct bookings → Website and open your site.
On Listings, tick the places this site covers, and press Save listings.
Open the Add to your site tab. Every place you ticked has its own block of code.
Press the copy button beside one, and paste it into your page where you want the box to appear.

One box shows one place, so paste the matching code onto each listing's page.

What the Guest Sees

The box displays the nightly price, a date picker that grays out nights you are not selling, and a total once dates are selected. Continue to book opens the full page for that stay, on your own domain if you have connected one, and otherwise on Kabora.

The box never asks a guest to sign in and never displays a saved card. Payment, refunds and your cancellation terms are all handled on the page it opens, the same as every other booking you take.

Matching Your Site's Look

Two settings follow your site rather than Kabora's:

Booking button: It takes the Accent color set on the site's Styling tab. Its lettering remains readable against any color, so a pale color receives dark lettering rather than white.
Light or dark look: It normally follows the guest's own phone or computer. If your website is always light or always dark, pin the look on the Add to your site tab before you copy the code. A light box on a dark page looks like a hole in it.

If the Box Looks Cut Off

The small piece of code below the box tells your page how tall the box needs to be, and some website builders remove it. If yours does, find the height number in the first part and raise it until nothing is hidden.

If the Box Is Blank

Draft site: Your site is still a draft. Give it an address and press Mark ready on the Website list.
Place not ticked: The place is not ticked on the Listings tab of that site.
Place not listed: A box shows only a place that is live, so list it first. See publishing a listing.

Your own booking site is the other way to take direct bookings, if you prefer Kabora to host the whole site.
